On what makes CogMetal unique

When we started CogMetal we scoured the internet for a good solution for metal industry subcontracting and parts in B2B sites,  

we did find solutions however, we always had a problem – the concept of very large fields in metal industry and other industries were bundled under one small check box. In one checkbox marked machining was included: EDM, milling and turning. There are companies that do all but usually they master some and practice the others to some degree. And in all the times we looked, any company that would sign to these sites will have to search in a large number of irrelevant RFQ's to get to something that’s actually relevant I needed to spend allot of time and energy. The same applies to when a company needs a work done; it gets lots of non relevant offers and dodgy connections. In order to prevent such a problem we at cog metal looked differently on the subject.

The metal processing industries are proud, well based industries that put allot of effort in very good standards and certifications, we thought that we can use the great effort n making the industry uniform in standards and use the internet good ability to analyze big data to make the RFQ's much more targeted and insert the professional standards to the site. By doing this instead of trying to get to the biggest crowd possible we tried to get to a way to find the best partners. Many of the promotions in the industry are already very professional and show what the company can do in terms of machine capability and special features. We decided to take it to the next level.

In each RFQ in the site we let the issuer choose at least 1 technical requirement (he can add more and narrow the selection of companies that can receive the RFQ). This technical information is then compared to data about the companies in the site company that have the technical ability to answer the RFQ.  Each of the appropriate companies receives the RFQ to the company profile and mail; the company can then answer the RFQ.

The result of this process is that a company adds 20 Seconds to the issuing of the RFQ and gets much more relevant answers with an initial price tag, Saving money time and effort. For the suppliers the process gets the best kind of customers- the kind that looks for the specific set of abilities the company has. This kind of customers will pay the extra mile for the added value and moreover this is the kind of customer that keeps working with a good company.
